Manitoba Hydro and the Manitoba Society of Seniors (MSOS) would like to thank you for your interest in the Wisdom in Saving Energy Program (W.I.S.E). We have concluded another successful year of helping Winnipeg homeowners (55+) save energy and the environment.
Manitoba Hydro and the Manitoba Society of Seniors (MSOS) work together to help Winnipeg seniors who are 55+ save energy and money.
Seniors who qualify will receive a convenient in-home energy visit by a trained senior volunteer. During an in-home visit, the senior volunteer will:
- collect information about your home's insulation levels, furnace, hot water tank, lighting, and appliances;
- install several energy saving devices at no cost to you, including compact fluorescent light bulbs, water-saver showerhead and aerators, as well as pipe and outlet insulation;
- provide tips and options to help you save energy in your home;
- provide additional energy saving information.
Read more about low-cost and no-cost energy saving tips.
Read about our Power Smart programs and what you can do to improve the energy efficiency of your home.
To qualify for the program you must:
- be at least 55 years old;
- own your home;
