Frequently asked questions
I want to volunteer. How do I get involved?
Please call MSOS at 942-3147 for more information. You will need to fill out a volunteer
application form, and then you will meet with MSOS staff to decide which volunteer position will best match your skills.
Do I have to be over age 50 to volunteer?
No. While most of our volunteers are MSOS members,
we do have people
of all ages who want to volunteer with MSOS.
How much time do I have to commit?
Every volunteer position is different. Some require one
morning a month, some one day a week, some only for
special events. The best thing to do is call the office.
I go away every year for a winter vacation. Does
that mean I can’t volunteer?
No. As long as we know you’re going away, we can work
around your winter break.
